Job Summary
Lead fee-earning consultancy across risk assessment, security strategy definition, master planning, and technical design for clients in the Americas. Conduct technical security reviews, audits, design surveys, installation inspections, and approvals at client sites and in the office. Design physical and electronic security systems in conjunction with specialist engineers while developing performance specifications and design guidance notes. Create proposals, build project budgets, and manage financial forecasting and reporting to define scope and pricing. Oversee operational planning, quality of deliverables, and compliance with company policies. Contribute to team performance management and act as a thought leader coordinating with peer groups. Requires 5+ years of experience, knowledge of CPTED and global security standards, and up to 50% travel. Base salary $115,000-$130,000.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- strong knowledge and understanding of CPTED principles
- experience with Secured by Design
- experience with recognized public and private sector safety and security planning guidance such as UFC, ISO31000, and NIST
- experience delivering physical and electronic security design consulting across the AIA model stages
- proven ability to operate successfully at a senior level by implementing policy, driving quality, and growing a business
- proven experience in delivering consultancy-based engagements
- managing people effectively
- overseeing successful budgeting, project management, and project closure
- membership in a security or design engineering-related institute
- excellent writing and presentation skills
- proven ability to participate in speaking engagements
- ability to liaise with clients effectively
- ability to build successful relationships
- ability to quickly assimilate large quantities of new information
- a bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in risk management, design, or related security, crisis, and/or business continuity fields
- equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience
- a relevant security-related professional certification
- Knowledge of and experience using design-related software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Project, Bluebeam, and other relevant platforms
