Senior Consultant/ Associate Manager, Regional Operations Planning (for Banking Industry Project)

Job Summary
Plan and oversee the Local Settlement MX Migration project, including requirements confirmation, impact analysis, system development, and testing. Coordinate with branches to ensure ownership of planning tasks and manage the ISO20022 Hybrid Address Format System Enhancement and SWIFT Standards Release 2026 projects. Identify, escalate, and resolve delays or risks while preparing and consolidating weekly or monthly project status reports for stakeholders. Facilitate communication and issue resolution by coordinating cross-functional teams such as IT, Compliance, and APAC branches. Create clear and impactful deliverables in PowerPoint and Excel to visualize project progress and provide stakeholders with concise reporting materials. Organize issues and discussion points, compare potential solutions, and prepare decision-support materials for clients. Analyze information required for decision-making and present findings using graphs, charts, and other visual formats.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles involving stakeholder coordination within a financial institution, preferably banking
- Demonstrated proactive communication and relationship-building skills, actively engaging with bank staff, local site personnel, and stakeholders to maintain frequent communication and foster strong working relationships that support consultation and alignment
- Proven self-driven project management capability, independently identifying key issues, engaging stakeholders, driving tasks forward, and preparing materials to support decision-making, even when counterparts are not deeply involved in daily operations
- Ability to prepare structured materials tailored for multiple audiences, including progress reports for management, operational documentation for staff, and coordination materials for stakeholders
- Strong issue structuring and problem management skills, with the ability to analyze background, root causes, impacts, action plans, and decision points beyond simple task tracking
- Business-oriented PMO and project execution capability, ensuring alignment of system-related tasks with user-side and operational requirements to drive projects in line with business operations
- Effective review and quality assurance capability, providing clear instructions to junior staff, reviewing deliverables, ensuring quality, and supplementing external communication when necessary
- Good communication skills in English are required
- A business process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize issues, and propose solutions beyond basic operational support
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Japanese language will be an added advantage to support coordination and reporting with headquarters, FCCD, and Japanese-speaking stakeholders across different regions
