Job Summary
Senior Construction Technician responsible for performing CONUS/OCONUS construction tasks (carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, finishing, testing) and pre-construction work (receiving/packing/crating materials, light fabrication, painting, assembly) for secure facilities (SCIFs and shielded enclosures) with travel up to 75%. Requires familiarity with construction documents (blueprints, shop drawings, schematics), strong safety practices, ability to work in team settings, follow on-site and remote directions, and excellent communication. Must be able to travel, work 40+ hours/week, obtain/maintain federal security clearance, and pass background/drug/MVR checks; valid driver’s license required.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a classified environment required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to pass federal contract OCONUS deployment requirements published by the US Government from time to time
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review
- Must possess a valid driver's license
