Job Summary
Senior Construction Project Manager to lead multiple large-scale construction projects in commercial real estate. Responsibilities include developing scope and schedule for assigned projects, managing approved budgets, coordinating vendor RFPs, and overseeing activities of general contractors and relocation of technical functions. You’ll prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, and maintain due diligence and financial records. Lead cross-functional teams including architects, design engineers, general and specialty contractors, property management, operating engineers, real estate brokers, environmental consultants, client PMO, client security, and client technology groups. Provide weekly updates on project schedule, budget, and risk; develop risk management plans; ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while meeting client and project requirements. Strong preference for experience in construction, commercial real estate, and MEP infrastructure; familiarity with architectural drawings, space planning concepts, and vendor management. Location is on-site in Austin, TX; travel may be required. This role emphasizes client service, teamwork, and proactive project governance to drive successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 6-10+ years of relevant experience related to project or construction management
- 6-10+ years of practical experience in a project administration/accounting position
- Ability to prepare and track budgets with highly organized and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with executive-level external and internal clients
- Organizational skills with ability to identify and manage priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with detail-oriented approach
- Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
- Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
