Job Summary

Senior Construction Project Manager position in Energy Systems Group's Public Sector Central team, based in the greater St. Louis, MO area with remote work option and 50-75% travel (including overnight). Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of project execution from design to installation and ongoing service, advising on estimating, procuring and managing outside contractors, developing schedules and budgets, managing project finances (change management, billings, margins), and serving as primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and customer satisfaction. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (engineering or construction management preferred) and at least 7 years of related experience. Desirable certifications include PMP, CCM, or DBIA. OSHA and safety regulation compliance, and ability to communicate with managers, clients, and the public are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, with a preference for engineering or construction management
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ engineering and construction-related experience managing construction projects
  • Minimum construction related requirements include: Exposure to project development, Exposure to working with and directing project teams, Experience in developing schedules, Managing project budgets, Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects from development to project closure, Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and project schedules, properly document projects, and work well with customers and achieve customer satisfaction on every job, Demonstrated ability to work with others including customers in a professional and ethical manner
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA, Federal, and State Safety regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to assist employees in understanding project objectives and specifications and seeing the other side of an issue
