Senior Construction Project Manager / Design Review - Aviation

Job Summary
Lead multidisciplinary design reviews across architecture, civil, structural, and MEP disciplines, establishing strategy, workflows, and quality standards aligned with FAA, airport authority, and local jurisdiction requirements. Coordinate engineering teams and subject matter experts to resolve conflicts, facilitate workshops, and ensure alignment between design intent, operational requirements, and construction feasibility. Manage design review schedules, deliverables, and critical milestones while overseeing QA/QC processes, maintaining documentation, and escalating risks impacting design delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, preparing executive summaries and supporting governance boards with design status and decision recommendations. Maintain U.S. Public Trust security clearance and adhere to SOX controls.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Capability of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Public Trust security clearance
- Completion of a Public Trust investigation
- 10+ years of experience in design management, project management, or engineering for major capital programs
- Strong background in aviation, transportation, or large infrastructure projects
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews
- Deep understanding of design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder groups and drive resolution of technical issues
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- On-site presence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with airport authorities, FAA programs, or federal infrastructure
- Background in design‐build, CMAR, or progressive design‐build environments
- Familiarity with digital design review platforms (Bluebeam, Kahua, BIM 360, etc.)
- Professional licensure (PE, RA)
- Certifications (PMP, CCM)
