Job Summary
Senior Construction Project Manager responsible for leading preconstruction, budgeting, contracting, and stakeholder coordination on DoD/advanced manufacturing construction projects in McHenry, MS. You will gather user requirements, generate cost estimates across project lifecycles, manage relationships with consultants and vendors, perform early site due diligence, assemble and lead design teams, develop and manage project budgets, coordinate with Finance/FP&A for cash flow forecasting, and prepare financial reports to senior leadership. You will develop and implement contracting structures to allocate risk, establish commercial terms for transparency and fairness, and ensure alignment of construction activities with project objectives. You will serve as the primary point of contact for construction-related matters, advise across programming, design, pre-construction, closeout, and operations, and work cross-functionally with Security, Network Engineering, Facilities Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, EHS, Legal, and others. External coordination with contractors and authorities, regular meetings with external project managers, and cross-functional collaboration are required. You will travel up to 25% and must meet U.S. person requirements for access to export-controlled information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management
- Experience with energetics and/or process gas pressure testing requirements and facilities
- Strong background in design advisory, pre-construction, and project kickoff/setup
- Extreme orderliness when it comes to document control
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget
- In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, MEP systems and building codes
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competency in CPM scheduling methods, construction document review, and contract administration
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
