Senior Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary
Manage proposals, drafting meeting minutes, contract creation, and client reporting documents alongside senior project managers. Assist in creating and updating project budgets and schedules while handling document control, change order processing, monthly invoicing, TI allowance reimbursement, and project closeout. Interface directly with Hughes Marino PMs, clients, and brokers on evolving project requirements across multiple concurrent, complex construction projects. Requires 1-4 years of construction industry experience, tenant improvement project background, and proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Project. Local candidates only in Columbus and Central Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in the construction industry
- Experience with tenant improvement projects
- Hands-on experience with invoice processing
- Experience with schedule and budget creation and updates
- Experience with meeting minutes
- A strong tendency toward leadership
- A solid understanding of the design process
- A solid understanding of the permitting process
- A solid understanding of the bidding process
- A solid understanding of the construction process
- A solid understanding of the closeout process
- High proficiency in Bluebeam
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word
- High proficiency in Microsoft Project
- Sharp communication skills, written and verbal
- Comfort interfacing with senior stakeholders
