Job Summary
Collect construction materials samples from various sites and perform tests and inspections to assess material properties and integrity using specialized equipment and established standards. Document findings and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and maintain structural safety. Travel to job sites across the Springfield area metro in all terrain and weather conditions while utilizing a company truck, PPE, and a company-issued laptop. This role includes fully paid training, mentorship opportunities, and shadowing seasoned professionals.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years' experience in construction observation or inspection
- ICC, ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelors degree in engineering with EIT
- Valid driver's license and a good driving history
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required
- MoDOT certifications preferred
- Working collaboratively with others
- Having ownership in the work you do
- Using your talents to positively affect communities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
