Job Summary
Senior Construction Manager role within LAN’s K-12 Education market, serving as General Superintendent and on-site representative to monitor multiple construction projects, identify workforce shortages, coordinate with Owner’s Project Managers, participate in pre-construction and progress meetings, manage punch-lists and final inspections, review third-party test reports, ensure submittals and drawings are current, coordinate between Owner’s vendors, Contractor, and team, and maintain safe, compliant operations while communicating via daily observation reports and email. Requires on-site construction leadership, strong knowledge of construction practices and plans/specs, and the ability to read blueprints and manage documentation; a high school diploma plus substantial building-trades experience is expected. Lodge and manage safety, scheduling, and coordination activities across multiple stakeholders; willingness to work early mornings and occasional nights/weekends; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school and considerable experience in any of the building trades in construction work.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and drawings and to compare them with various aspects of construction in progress; ability to detect errors in construction projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, property owners and associates; ability to ensure compliance with specifications and standards; ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; preference for Microsoft Project experience.
