Senior Construction Manager

Job Summary
Serve as the Owner's onsite representative throughout all phases of construction, acting as the primary liaison between the Owner, design team, contractor, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders. Monitor contractor performance for compliance with contract documents, schedule, quality standards, and safety requirements while evaluating Requests for Information, submittals, change orders, and claims. Lead regular progress meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and coordinate with utility providers and permitting agencies to facilitate timely delivery. Verify completed work through field observations, review quality control activities, and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly. Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare executive-level reports detailing progress, budget, and key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Construction management experience with increasing responsibility on large commercial, municipal, institutional, or public infrastructure projects
- Experience serving as an Owner's Representative, Construction Manager, or Program Manager on complex capital projects
- Strong understanding of construction contract administration, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, and project controls
- Demonstrated experience reviewing contractor schedules, change orders, pay applications, RFIs, and construction documentation
- Working knowledge of construction delivery methods
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction industry best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
