Job Summary
Senior Construction Manager responsible for end-to-end construction activities across transmission, substation, and distribution projects, including budget, schedule, contract adherence, permitting, materials procurement, safety and environmental compliance, RFIs/ECNs/COs, and coordinating outages. Leads construction teams, performs constructability reviews, and ensures clear scopes of work in bid documents; requires deep knowledge of transmission/substation construction, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 20+ years of construction, maintenance, or related experience (transmission/substation preferred)
- Qualified to request/hold transmission and distribution clearances and manage/coordinate a crew of several Construction Managers
- Deep knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution construction practices
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and construction quality assurance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement, Legal, and field operations
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Valid driver's license required
