Senior Construction Loan Portfolio Manager

Job Summary
Manage and monitor complex commercial construction loans by reviewing contracts, budgets, and loan documents to ensure adherence to policies before closing. Lead the review and funding of projects by analyzing project budgets, verifying sufficient sources of funds, and tracking progress against scheduled delivery and approved expenditures. Coordinate monthly draw requests with contractors, inspectors, and title companies while collecting lien waivers and reviewing inspection reports to mitigate risks. Approve disbursements, reconcile equity documentation, and escalate budget variances or out-of-balance situations to partners. Provide guidance to junior team members and maintain accurate portfolio files and reporting for management and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business or Accounting
- 5+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience
- 10+ years of closing and administering complex commercial construction loans
- Proven ability to identify construction risks
- Clear and articulate oral and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of internal operation functions and commercial real estate lending
- Skilled in problem solving and customer service
- Self starter with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment and multi task with excellent attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to execute with minimal to no supervision required
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience, preferably commercial construction in the banking industry
- 5+ years of business related experience
- Proficiency with the banks internal applications
