Job Summary
Senior Construction Inspector responsible for overseeing complex construction projects in Rockford, IL. Primary duties include coordinating and supervising progress meetings, material testing, and construction inspections; interpreting contract drawings and specifications; preparing detailed technical reports; managing contract administration including change orders; ensuring QA/QC compliance; maintaining safety protocols; and leading collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and authorities. Requires strong communication, leadership, and field/office integration skills; proficiency with CAD-related tools and Microsoft Office; and 8+ years of relevant experience. Desired BS in engineering or construction management and IDOT documentation certification with OSHA 30. PE preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- B.S. in engineering or construction management preferred
- 8+ years of applicable experience (education or certification will be considered)
- IDOT Documentation Certification and OSHA 30 required
- Valid driver''s license required
