Senior Construction Inspector

Job Summary
Inspect and verify construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, shop drawings, NYSDOT/NYSTA standards, railroad requirements, and applicable codes across highway, bridge, building, and rail projects. Witness materials testing, prepare daily inspection reports with photo documentation, and maintain field records using AASHTOWare, COMPASS, ProjectWise, and SharePoint. Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and Resident Engineers while monitoring environmental permits, work zone safety, and OSHA protocols. Provide technical input on constructability challenges, assist with RFIs and change orders, and mentor junior inspectors. Located in Lower Hudson Valley, Capital District, or Syracuse; full-time role with salary based on experience and credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 4 years of experience
- High School Diploma
- NICET Level III or a relevant trade license
- 6 years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Level III or IV
- ACI, NETTCP, ATSSA certifications
- OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour
