Senior Construction Inspector - Landscape

Job Summary
Monitor contractor on-site activities and inspect landscape materials for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents for excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures. Take field measurements of pay items, report daily production rates, and schedule work phases with superintendents and agency personnel. Maintain daily reports on labor, equipment, and material quantities, perform on-site testing, and produce as-constructed sketches. Direct coordination between field and administrative staff, organize field meetings, delegate responsibilities, and mentor junior inspection staff. This field role operates outdoors in various weather conditions and requires physical demands including lifting up to 35 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma Or equivalent
- at least four (4) years of experience in construction inspection
- two (2) years of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection
- Civil/Construction Engineering degree
- one (1) year of road & bridge CEI experience
- ability to earn any additional required certifications and/or qualifications within one year
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- good driving record

- FNGLA - Horticultural
- FNGLA - Contractor Estimates
- MOT - Advanced Certification
- Ability to function during occasional extreme weather on the jobsite
