Job Summary
Conduct pre-construction meetings and perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations for roadway, bridge, and transportation projects in the Baltimore area. Manage inspection staff, review construction documentation, and perform material testing while identifying and documenting non-conformances. Maintain accurate project files, prepare detailed daily inspection reports, and collaborate with project managers to resolve issues and monitor schedule adherence. Mentor junior inspectors and stay updated on industry standards and regulations. Requires U.S. citizenship, specific certifications in concrete testing and erosion control, and six years of transportation project experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus 6 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience on transportation-related projects, including roadways, bridges, rail, and tunnels
- U.S. Citizenship
- Certified in concrete testing, compaction (asphalt, soils, and aggregate), E&S, and work zone MOT
- Knowledge of construction plans, standards, specifications, and regulations
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and applications

Desired Qualifications
- NICET (any level)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management
- 10 years of experience on transportation related projects (roadways, bridges, rail, tunnels) and have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications as required
