Job Summary
Prepare conceptual estimates during schematic design using benchmarks and historical data. Develop progressively refined estimates through design development, including scope clarifications, value engineering options, and risk allowances. Produce detailed line-item estimates from construction drawings, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing, and market analysis. Track cost movement from schematic design through construction documents, highlighting key deltas and risks. Collaborate with Development, Design, and Construction teams to align budgets with project goals. Solicit and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitiveness. Maintain historical cost data and unit pricing to strengthen future estimates. Deliver executive-ready presentations that communicate assumptions and value propositions effectively. This hybrid role is open to Eagle, Idaho, and the Tri-Cities, Washington area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Senior Construction Estimator in residential and commercial construction
- Project management experience
- Proficiency with construction estimation software and tools
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
- Working knowledge of value engineering concepts
- Hybrid position availability
- Location in Eagle Idaho AND the Tri-Cities area of Washington
