Job Summary
Lead maintenance and construction crews by planning project execution, conducting site inspections, and managing material usage. Perform irrigation walkthroughs, troubleshoot pest issues, and identify landscape plants while maintaining client satisfaction. Train new hires and Crew Leaders on construction standards, lead safety meetings, and evaluate crew production against budgeted hours. Submit work order reports, vehicle requests, and material purchase orders while ensuring accurate timecard review and tool inventory accountability. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and operating company vehicles where authorized. Requires 4+ years in landscape construction with strong leadership skills and physical ability to lift 25 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in landscape construction and crew leadership
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Advanced knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and construction practices
- Proficiency in smartphone and computer-based reporting tools
- Ability to train and mentor team members and Crew Leaders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Safety-conscious and able to lead safety initiatives
- Full range of mobility in upper and lower body
- Able to reach overhead objects
- Able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment
- Able to lift 25 pounds frequently throughout the workday
- Able to work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting
- Reliable transportation to job site/office
- Report to work at designated time and location
- Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes (composite or steel-toe boots), safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and face coverings
- Valid California Driver License
- Authorized to drive by the company's insurance
- Complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
