Job Summary
Stay updated with cellular, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN advancements to research solutions enabling autonomous construction machines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and conduct feasibility studies. Work closely with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration, while participating in design reviews and validation processes. Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues from proving grounds or customer sites using data and systems analysis skills. Maintain strong quality focus through design reviews and downstream integration interactions. Full-time role in Irving, TX with domestic relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a closely related field
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- Ability to lead programs and mentor other engineers
- Understanding of Network technologies and protocols along with connectivity standards
- Understanding of the capabilities and limits of certain wireless technology (Wi-Fi, Cellular, unlicensed backhaul)
- Knowledge and capability in the areas of SD-WAN, wireless link bonding, load balancing, network coding
- Experience in software development and architecture (C++)
- Linux/Ubuntu
- Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- Knowledge of software product testing
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
- This position requires the candidate to work full-time at Irving, TX (Dallas)
- Successful completion of a drug screen

- Ability to test, write, design, debug, troubleshoot and maintain source codes and computer programs
- Ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements
- Ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation
- Ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
