Job Summary
Senior Database Administrator role in Holland, MI. Manage and maintain complex IT systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Lead and manage IT projects from planning to implementation, serve as a subject matter expert, and mentor junior team members. Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations, stay informed on industry trends, and collaborate across departments to design and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements. Requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with potential to grow into a lead level role. Must be able to work on-site in Holland, MI, without remote or hybrid arrangements, and travel up to 10% of the time. On-call rotation and after-hours support may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
- Work Experience: 5 years IT or computer technology experience with Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years IT or computer technology experience with Master’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years of hands on database administration experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to participate in an on call rotation; ability to support off hours when needed
