Job Summary
Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect at SHINE Systems focusing on designing and developing scalable data solutions using Palantir Foundry to support government/public health data modernization. Responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines (Python, PySpark, TypeScript), integrating diverse data sources, creating reusable code, managing ontologies, optimizing dashboards and visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, scalable data platform capabilities. Remote-only role with emphasis on government/CDC-related data projects and enterprise data engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a professional technical environment
- 1+ years of experience with Palantir Foundry and its applications (Code Repository, Ontology Manager, Workshop)
- Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines using Python and PySpark
- Experience applying software and data engineering principles in enterprise environments
- Experience integrating, transforming, and managing large datasets from multiple data sources
- Experience translating business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and tracking work using Jira or similar tools
- Knowledge of fundamental programming principles, data structures, APIs, or web development concepts
- Ability to work independently and take ownership to solve complex data challenges
- Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain/maintain based on client requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
