Job Summary
Lead the design and development of a common software architecture that integrates diverse applications, sensors, and data sources into a unified operational system. Develop innovative technical solutions addressing complex operational requirements and enhance situational awareness capabilities. Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, resolve highly complex technical challenges, and conduct research applying emerging technologies to mission-focused software solutions. Collaborate with executive leadership and government stakeholders to advocate for new architectural approaches and influence strategic program objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert in software architecture and systems integration, mentoring junior engineers and supporting technical planning throughout the system lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship
- Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly required)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related STEM field
- 8 years of Relevant Experience
- Strong expertise in RF engineering, spectrum management, signal processing, and sensor systems
- Hands-on experience with sensors, radar, communications systems, and electronic warfare platforms
- Proficiency in signal processing software and languages and experience with AI/ML applied to sensor data
- Familiarity with multi-domain operational concepts, situational awareness systems, and DoD sensor architectures
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, lead technical efforts, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders
- Must be available for travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of Relevant Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or defense technology programs
- Experience supporting large-scale systems integration, situational awareness platforms, or operational command and control systems
- Expertise in integrating diverse applications and data sources into unified systems
- In-depth understanding of software architecture principles, theories, and concepts
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in software architecture and systems integration
- Strong ability to resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and reasoning
- Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and influencing strategic outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and stakeholders
- Ability to mentor and develop technical teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
