Job Summary
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the entire IT Asset Management lifecycle, including receiving, tagging, deployment, tracking, and disposal. Administer the enterprise ITAM tool/database, ensuring configuration, health, and data integrity while leading training for junior personnel. Lead software license compliance efforts by conducting regular reconciliations, managing license reclamation, and performing internal audits to identify unauthorized installations. Generate complex reports and dashboards to provide insights into asset utilization and financial data, supporting budget planning and procurement strategies. Coordinate all physical inventory audits and serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors regarding IT asset inquiries. Requires seven years of IT operations experience with four years dedicated to ITAM, a current CompTIA Security+ certification, and a DoD clearance. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an IT operations role
- At least four (4) years of this experience dedicated to IT Asset Management (ITAM), including both hardware and software asset management
- Proven experience leading IT asset audits
- Experience with process documentation
- A current CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or higher)
- Ability to acquire and maintain a DoW Security Clearance
- Expert-level proficiency with enterprise-class ITAM and ITSM tools (e.g., ELMS/DPAS, ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti), including reporting and administrative functions
- In-depth knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, enterprise agreements)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience training junior personnel
