Job Summary
Senior Computational Software Engineer to build cloud-based power and energy transition solutions. Responsibilities include translating traditional grid-study processes into well-structured, performant code; maintaining and enhancing a SaaS application for renewable-energy stakeholders; deploying and testing large-scale parallel-compute code on cloud infrastructure; collaborating to define product requirements, develop tests, and validate results. The role supports enabling zero-carbon generation deployment on the grid. Required/desired skills include proficiency in Python (C++ a plus), experience with high-performance numerical software and parallelization, and familiarity with cloud tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS SQS/SNS). Knowledge of power systems and numerical methods for simulation/optimization is a plus. Advanced degree (BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS) with 4+ years of experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS preferred, with 4+ years of experience developing and deploying applications
- Proficiency in Python; knowledge of C++ is a plus
- Experience in developing and shipping high-performance numerical products/backends with parallelization
- Experience deploying/maintaining/debugging software on cloud environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of power systems and simulation is a plus
- BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS is preferred, with 4+ years of experience developing and deploying applications.
