Job Summary
Senior Composite Design Engineer based in Maranello, Italy, responsible for design and development of F1 car components, collaboration with the Race Team, and contributing to composite design group workload plans. Responsibilities include planning and strategy for component development and race introduction, design and development of composite components, liaising with the Race Team on reliability and design revisions, conducting necessary research and development functions, ensuring day-to-day tasks meet timelines, and maintaining compliance with policies and governance. The role requires leading composite design projects from concept to completion, prioritizing vehicle performance, knowledge of composite and machine shop production processes, CATIA 3DX proficiency, and strong team collaboration toward continuous improvement and sustainability; travel, long hours, and race-day commitments are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional motorsports environment with design experience
- Some FEA experiences are also a plus
