Job Summary
Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen enterprise-wide compliance, privacy, and policy governance frameworks. Coordinate the development and implementation of compliance strategies and assurance activities while monitoring legislative changes to provide practical guidance. Lead privacy incident management initiatives, develop policies and governance processes, and facilitate cross-functional working groups to drive strategic outcomes. Prepare reports for governance bodies and deliver training to build organizational capability. This Full Time Permanent role supports hybrid working by agreement and offers part-time options within the UnitingCare team, a not-for-profit organization serving healthcare, aged care, and community services across Queensland.
Required Qualifications
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
- This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check
- Right to Work in Australia
- Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk, governance, policy management or a related discipline
- Proven capability developing and implementing enterprise frameworks, policies and compliance programs
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and their application within operational environments
- Experience interpreting legislation, regulatory obligations and compliance requirements, translating them into practical business outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at all organisational levels
- Strong analytical, report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently
- A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and making a meaningful difference
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in privacy program management and compliance activities, including application of the Privacy Act 1988 in practice
