Job Summary
Senior Communications Specialist to lead regional, integrated communications across Boeing’s UK, Ireland and Nordics markets for BCA, BDS and BGS. Responsibilities include developing and implementing regional communications strategies, owning internal communications (executive updates, intranet content, employee emails, leadership materials, town halls), producing external materials (press statements, partner briefings, social media messaging, presentations, customer communications) with localisation for different markets, translating technical material for diverse audiences, providing strategic counsel to regional leadership, coordinating with Global Communications, Government Affairs, Legal, Security and HR to ensure compliant messaging, leading or supporting crisis communications with global teams, managing regional content governance and brand consistency, and measuring effectiveness to inform strategy. The role requires hybrid working with regular onsite presence in Westminster and travel across the UK, Ireland and Nordics up to 20%. It involves collaborating across BCA, BDS and BGS, and may require security clearances (UK SC) or equivalent, with full right to work in the UK or EU/EEA eligibility and willingness to relocate.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with responsibility for strategy and delivery at programme, business unit, regional or enterprise level
- Demonstrable experience leading internal communications and supporting senior leaders across multiple stakeholder groups and geographies
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling and content design skills for digital and print channels; strong ability to localise content for different markets
- Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to operate across commercial, defence and services teams
- Right to work in the UK, or legal eligibility to work in an EU/EEA country with willingness to relocate if required; ability to travel across the region
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience with internal and external communications across multiple markets and regulatory environments
- Experience leading crisis communications and governance of brand messaging
- Ability to translate technical content for diverse audiences across the UK, Ireland and Nordics
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams including Global Communications, Government Affairs, Legal, Security and HR
- Knowledge of security clearances (UK SC) or equivalent national clearances would be advantageous
- Experience with multimedia tools (Adobe Creative Suite) and collaboration platforms ( Teams, SharePoint)
- Travel up to 20% across the UK, Ireland and Nordics
