Senior Communications Manager - Analyst Relations

Job Summary
Senior Communications Manager focused on Analyst Relations, responsible for defining and implementing data-driven AR strategies to raise Canonical’s visibility among analysts and industry influencers. Lead analyst-focused communications plans for product announcements and partnerships; craft compelling narratives aligned with Canonical’s vision; manage ongoing analyst relationships through online briefings and events; measure AR program impact and optimize collaboration tooling. Leverage GenAI and market-research insights to understand analyst sentiment and shape portfolio narratives. Partner with Product Management, Alliances, Sales, and Marketing to ensure accurate portfolio representation and timely product news. Travel up to four times a year for internal events and sprints. Remote-first role based in the EMEA region; ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams and deliver data-driven insights that strengthen Canonical’s brand in cloud, SaaS, and open source domains.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in communications with proven achievements in analyst relations (AR) and market research
- Experience managing technology communications (agency or in-house) or global AR programs
- Track record of delivering innovative communications campaigns in the technology space and enhancing company positioning through AR
- Experience in cloud/SaaS/open source technology
- Analytical mindset with ability to develop measurement frameworks for leadership decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to prioritize and distinguish what matters; strong planning and project management orientation (experience with Jira is a plus)
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
