Job Summary
Senior Communications Engineer leading unified communications delivery and transformation across a large enterprise healthcare environment. You will lead design and implementation of modern telephony and UC platforms (including cloud-based voice, cloud contact centres, and integrations with Cisco Webex, Teams Voice, and traditional PABX systems), perform current-state assessments, shape future-state architecture (hybrid cloud and on-premise models), and contribute to a multi-site modernization program. Responsibilities span delivering upgrades across UC landscapes, configuring end-to-end telephony environments for performance and resilience, and collaborating with network, cloud, and cybersecurity teams. You will participate in operational support, incident response, and on-call duties, engaging with telco providers and managed service partners to achieve outcomes. A strong emphasis on leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement is essential. Closing Date: 3 July 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Senior level UC/telephony experience
- Experience with legacy and modern UC platforms (PABX, Avaya, Mitel, Cisco CUCM)
- VoIP/SIP expertise
- Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams Voice/UCaaS experience
- Cloud contact centre solutions (Genesys or equivalent)
- Hybrid cloud/on-premises architecture design
- Incident management and root cause analysis
- Stakeholder engagement across technical, clinical, and business teams
- ITIL-aligned service management practices
