Job Summary
Senior Communications Advisor, Nova Scotia eServices Program, leads strategic communications for digital health tools (e.g., Ocean eReferral, Novari solutions, ATC, MIRM, eRequest) across clinical areas. Develops and implements communication plans to support system adoption, readiness, stabilization, and sustainment; translates technical and operational information into clear, user-friendly communications for diverse audiences; supports organizational change management; coordinates stakeholder engagement and collaborates with clinical, operational, technical, vendor, and communications teams. Role requires strong analytical, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills, with a track record of counsel to executive leaders and ability to manage multiple complex projects. Assets include health-sector experience and knowledge of IAP2 principles and change-management practices. The position follows a hybrid work model within the province and is a long-assignment, temporary hourly full-time role, with weekly hours totaling 75 biweekly over approximately 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in communications and public relations
- Knowledge of best practice related to communications, public relations, engagement, media relations, crisis communications and engagement
- Experience with high-profile public relations issues and in reputation management
- Ability to work within cross-departmental teams
- Demonstrated success in desktop publishing and basic layout design
- Experience in health sector communications, digital transformation and change management communications
- Knowledge of change theory and change management practices
- Exceptional skills in preparing internal and external engagement strategies with demonstrated success in content and audience engagement
