Job Summary
Support the preparation and approval of customer proposals by reviewing documents, formatting materials, and analyzing contract terms and pricing summaries for governance. Assist with negotiations by preparing plans, packs, and supporting documentation, while managing the drafting, reviewing, and oversight of customer-facing commercial agreements. Lead internal coordination through meetings, action tracking, and senior reporting, ensuring effective communication flow and triaging incoming requests. Maintain commercial governance and drive continuous improvement across processes, templates, and reporting structures. Present clear, concise information to internal and external stakeholders. This role supports the delivery of major customer contracts within Rolls-Royce SMR's Customer Commercial function, enabling the successful execution of the UK's premier green export opportunity in Small Modular Reactor technology.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting commercial contracting or pricing activities
- Experience supporting the drafting, negotiation and/or management of contracts or commercial agreements
- Ability to lead coordinating and managing multiple workstreams
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and document management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Teams/SharePoint
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience preparing and presenting clear, concise materials to a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrating experience interfacing with stakeholders across a variety of functions
- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
- Location & Ways of Working: This role can be based from our Derby office, with hybrid working and regular weekly attendance expected
- Some travel may be required depending on project or customer needs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, JCT or similar
