Job Summary
Commercial Escrow Officer responsible for managing escrow files from opening through post-closing, serving as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service throughout the closing process; coordinate with the title department to resolve title issues, prepare and review settlement statements, receive and disburse funds, assemble recording packages, and nurture client relationships. Work on complex commercial real estate and refinance transactions in Columbus, OH, supporting affordable housing and community development initiatives; collaborate with title, escrow, and legal professionals in a team-oriented environment; require deep understanding of real estate law, escrow procedures, and proficiency with escrow/title software (SoftPro, RamQuest, Monday.com, QuickBooks) and document management platforms. On-site role with strong emphasis on accuracy, client service, and timely closings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience overseeing real estate closings (escrow officer, supervisor, or manager preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification a plus
- Title license a plus
- Commissioned Ohio Notary Public with Remote Online Notarization (or willingness to obtain)
