Job Summary
Negotiate and close Tipalti Services Agreements, order forms, and channel deals, managing inquiries from first markup to signature with minimal oversight. Lead vendor-side contracting for software, accounting, and professional services agreements, coordinating risk reviews and coaching procurement teams on workflow improvements. Act as the primary commercial legal point of contact for sales, customer success, and go-to-market teams across global time zones, driving dispute resolution and compliance matters. Reengineer the commercial legal playbook by templatizing agreements and building AI-powered workflows while calibrating AI use to the specific risk profile of each matter. Carry a full portfolio of matters independently, exercising judgment on deal structure and escalation from intake to close.
Required Qualifications
- common-law law degree (J.D., LL.B., or equivalent)
- in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 8+ years in commercial technology transactions
- ideally with both law firm and in-house software company experience
- SaaS agreements, DPAs, NDAs, SOWs, and partner agreements are second nature
