Job Summary
Negotiate construction agreements, equipment procurement deals, and power purchase agreements while drafting, reviewing, and managing a high volume of commercial contracts for AI data center projects. Serve as a strategic legal partner to business development, procurement, and finance teams by identifying risks, proposing solutions, and building internal contract templates and playbooks to enable speed. Manage outside counsel relationships, support financing and real estate transactions, and develop legal processes as the company scales. Based in San Francisco, this role requires 7-10+ years of commercial transactional experience and active bar admission.
Required Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 7-10+ years of commercial transactional experience
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, or energy regulatory matters
- Background in EPC or construction contract negotiation
- Prior in-house experience at a high-growth startup or infrastructure company
- Familiarity with data center development, hyperscale leasing, or AI infrastructure
- Experience supporting M&A, project finance, or real estate transactions
