Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager, Continental Europe

Job Summary
Develop and implement pricing strategies for bids aligned with sector and country goals, advising leadership on market risks and commercial trends. Oversee negotiation and implementation of prime contracts, NDAs, and JV arrangements while managing variation orders and commercial risk. Lead internal governance processes and resolve contractual disputes and claims across Continental Europe. Oversee financial project budgeting, monitor KPIs and cash flow, and provide performance reporting to ensure commercial targets are met. Coach staff on commercial best practices and build strategic relationships with clients and sub-consultants to support work-winning activities.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Law or related discipline
- Significant experience in contract, commercial, pricing and bid/tender management within engineering, infrastructure, defense, social infrastructure, energy, data centre or related professional services environments
- Experience supporting bid development, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and commercial governance within a multi-country environment
- Fluent English and Spanish or Italian
- Proven track record in leadership or key role with commercial and operational responsibilities
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of construction and engineering services procurement routes, contracting models, professional services frameworks, pricing methodologies, commercial benchmarking, and project delivery models across infrastructure, defence, social infrastructure, energy, and commercial sectors
- Experienced in negotiation and dispute resolution
- Effective communicator with outstanding interpersonal abilities
- Skilled in producing fee proposals, financial analysis, commercial reporting, and risk mitigation
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
