Job Summary
Senior Commercial Construction Estimator responsible for owning the complete bid lifecycle in a remote, full-time role. Responsibilities include performing detailed quantity takeoffs from commercial drawings using Xactimate, conducting plan reviews and specification analysis to identify missing information, managing bid solicitation and submission, serving as the primary estimator contact with national clients and general contractors, tracking bid opportunities, coordinating with internal teams on project requirements and timelines, supporting pre-construction workflows (vendor calls, RFIs, submittals), and providing estimating input for change orders. Requires 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, proficiency with Xactimate, strong ability to interpret drawings and specs, and excellent English communication; prior remote work for U.S.-based contractors is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction with demonstrated experience on large-scale projects ($500K+) for U.S.-based clients
- Proficiency with Xactimate software; experience with commercial drawing interpretation is essential
- Strong ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings, specifications, and plan schedules with a high degree of accuracy
- End-to-end bid process experience — from takeoff and pricing coordination through formal submission, plus familiarity with pre-construction workflows (vendor coordination, RFIs, submittals, scope coordination)
- Proven experience engaging directly with clients during the estimating and bidding process; comfort with frontline customer contact and sales-oriented interactions
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal); prior experience working remotely for U.S.-based contractors is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of general commercial construction practices and project types (ground-up construction, medical facilities, retail, hospitality, data centers, public infrastructure) is highly valued
