Senior Collections Coordinator (CB)

Job Summary
Senior Collections Coordinator responsible for coordinating loan collection activities for residential and consumer loans, working with delinquent borrowers with confidentiality and integrity to reduce potential losses to the Bank. Daily management of collection activities, reviewing past due accounts, coordinating loan reviews for resolution of delinquency, preparing documentation for legal action and charge-off recommendations, executing collection strategies, supervising workflow and project assignments in the collections department, analyzing portfolio payment defaults, and providing recommendations to management and the risk committee. Supports other duties as assigned and collaborates with lenders and lending management on collection procedures; requires strong data entry, spreadsheet and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Five to seven years of collections and bankruptcy experience preferred
- Associates Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of banking industry practices relative to the credit and collections area
- Solid understanding of lending principles including calculations of interest for charge offs/payoffs and per diems
- Above average computer literacy (Word, Excel) with accurate data entry skills; proficient knowledge of working with spreadsheet and creating formulas
- Ability to become proficient in use of specific software required for position
- High level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy and organizational skills
- High level of confidentiality required
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects with varied deadlines
- Physical ability to lift and move loan files up to 15 lbs
- Occasional travel as needed
