Job Summary
Senior Coastal Consultant responsible for shaping sustainable marine and coastal development projects across inland, coastal, and offshore environments. Applies ecosystem response modelling to inform environmental approvals and planning, collaborates on hydrographic and environmental surveys, habitat mapping, dredging and reclamation, and coastal resilience initiatives. Works with the TUFLOW FV modelling suite to simulate ecosystem responses, supports decision-making for environmental impact assessments, and leads multidisciplinary marine projects while liaising with clients and stakeholders. Will contribute to environmental risk assessment, compliance with regulatory standards, and the integration of scientific data into project planning, with a focus on coastal infrastructure, ports, and maritime development, across Canada and the US, including collaborations with international partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Technical background in coastal or maritime engineering
- Proven expertise in numerical modelling
- Leadership experience within a consultancy or project-based environment
- Ability to win work and build client relationships in coastal infrastructure, ports, marine studies, or dredging
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Canadian and international environmental standards
