Job Summary
Senior CNC Swiss Programmer / Applications Engineer responsible for leading turnkey projects, performing pre-sale activities and demonstrations, and training customers on CNC machining centers including Swiss-style lathes and multi-tasking machines. Tasks include developing/customizing demonstrations, providing part-processing recommendations, writing engineering reports, developing turnkey proposals, and delivering on-site training and engineering assistance at customer sites. Requires traveling to customer sites for on-site training, evaluation of opportunities, and support. Must have experience with sliding-headstock (Swiss) CNC machines, knowledge of Fanuc controls (5-axis experience a plus), and preferred CAD/CAM experience. The role emphasizes accurate cost estimates, performance of demonstrations, and maintaining safety and operational training for customers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool engineering and manufacturing
- Knowledge of Fanuc based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus
- Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred
- Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision
- Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with Morris Group values
