Job Summary
Operate CNC routers and machining equipment to produce wood-based components according to specifications and production schedules. Set up machines, perform tooling changes, and make adjustments to optimize performance and product quality. Execute and modify WoodWOP programs to ensure accurate and efficient machining operations. Inspect first-run and in-process parts to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards. Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve equipment-related concerns within the scope of the role. Provide technical guidance and share best practices with CNC operators to support team development. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures. Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of CNC machining experience in a wood manufacturing environment
- Advanced experience operating Homag CNC equipment
- Strong proficiency using WoodWOP software for CNC machining operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, cut lists, and manufacturing documentation
- Solid understanding of tooling, machine setup, material characteristics, and machining principles
- Experience machining plywood, solid wood, and engineered wood products
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- High school diploma or equivalent
