Job Summary
Set and operate CNC machining centres to produce high-precision components, optimising processes for maximum efficiency and quality. Make programme offsets and tooling adjustments as required, while reading complex engineering drawings and performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection checks. Troubleshoot machining issues, support continuous improvement activities, and mentor junior machinists to maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health and safety. Collaborate with Team Leaders, Production, and Quality teams to achieve production targets. Work a rotating double day shift (37.5 hours) with overtime regularly available, earning up to £43,000 plus bonus. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering environment
- Strong CNC setting and operating experience
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and support less experienced team members
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Must be able to work a Double Day Shift pattern
- Must be available for Early Shift (Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, Friday: 6:00 am - 11:30 am)
- Must be available for Late Shift (Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Friday: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm)
