Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, loading programs and installing chucks, tool holders, and vises to produce high-tolerance parts. Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets while monitoring operations like drilling, turning, and thread chasing; inspect first-run parts using calipers and micrometers against engineering drawings. Troubleshoot malfunctions, replace worn tools, and document work for shift continuity. Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean 5S-compliant area while adhering to OSHA and EPA safety standards. This 2nd shift role (2:30 PM – 11:30 PM EDT) includes an initial training period on the 1st shift and offers a sign-on bonus based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience operating and programming CNC mills or lathes
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- Solid math and trigonometry skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
- Fluency reading part and tool prints
- Hands-on proficiency with precision measuring tools and holding close tolerances
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Seven (7) years preferred
