Job Summary
Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (Network) responsible for improving Scalable Capital’s cloud infrastructure and automation on AWS, designing and operating multiple cloud networks, and maintaining high-availability connectivity for internal development teams and partner integrations. Role involves guiding and empowering engineering teams to strengthen DevOps practices, with a focus on secure, reliable systems. The position can be based in Berlin or Munich and requires hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Private Link, Route 53, CloudFront, ELB), Terraform IaC, and at least one general-purpose language (Python or Go). Nice-to-haves include experience with Network Firewall, VPNs, Direct Connect, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, and S3. International relocation support is provided if required, and there is an opportunity to work from abroad.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences) or work experience in a role that typically requires a university degree
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Private Link, Route 53, CloudFront, ELB)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python or Go)
