Job Summary
Senior Cloud Platform Engineer focused on designing, building, and operating an AWS-based cloud platform (including Kubernetes on EKS) with infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD, and GitOps. Responsible for secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across development, test, and production, platform governance and security controls, observability (monitoring, logging, alerting), and self-service deployment patterns. Collaborates with Quality, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to improve reliability, security, scalability, and developer experience, while supporting both GMP and non-GMP workloads and evaluating emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native platforms in AWS
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Experience supporting multi-account AWS environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation solutions
- Experience with GitOps methodologies and related tooling
- Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security architecture, and governance principles
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
