Job Summary
Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM templates. Develop automation scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment while contributing to CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. Write tested code to automate platform operations, troubleshoot deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments, and implement security best practices. Participate in on-call rotations to support critical platform issues and document designs and operational procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Azure services and trends to optimize continuous delivery systems for complex product deployments.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in a Cloud Platform, or DevOps, role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency with core Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways), Azure Storage Accounts, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Active Directory (AAD)/IAM
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, BICEP
- Experience with continuous delivery systems a.g. GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps
- Strong programming skills in C#, Python, or PowerShell for automation, tool development, and API integration
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls) within the Azure ecosystem
- Experience with Azure monitoring and logging services (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Application Insights)
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
