Job Summary
Senior Cloud Operations Engineer at Pegasystems responsible for the reliability and availability of cloud service offerings. Role involves handling service requests, changes, and releases; provisioning new environments and updating infrastructure components and product versions; collaborating with Platform & Cloud Engineering to resolve upgrade and provisioning tasks; participating in adoption of pre-release products; building automation to improve current processes; providing feedback on bugs and customer experience; mentoring new engineers and sharing knowledge on newer technologies in Pega Cloud (AWS, multi-cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, databases like PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Cassandra, and GenAI integrations). Requires strong cloud/DevOps experience, Linux, scripting, ITIL process understanding, and proven client-facing communication with the ability to work in a flexible, self-managed team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with 4-8 years of operational AWS SaaS experience and deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, databases, networking, and platform resiliency.
