Job Summary
Lead customer engagements for Idira (formerly CyberArk) by scoping work, directing team members, and acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders across operations, security, and engineering domains. Pro-actively initiate internal initiatives while applying cloud security best practices to complex environments involving Kubernetes, secrets management, and workload identity. Act as an embedded product subject matter expert, translating stakeholder needs into pragmatic solutions and mentoring peers through regular feedback. Collaborate directly with senior management and individual contributors to resolve high-impact service outages and ambiguous problem domains.
Required Qualifications
- strong foundation of security best practices
- working knowledge of Kubernetes
- working knowledge of major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, etc.)
- hands-on experience with Kubernetes - self-managed (Openshift, K3s, etc.) and cloud managed (GKE, Autopilot, EKS, etc.)
- hands-on experience with Container runtimes (Docker / containerd / podman)
- hands-on experience with SPIFFE / SPIRE (for workload identity)
- hands-on experience with Linux / Unix operating systems (RHEL / Rocky Linux / Ubuntu / Debian)
- hands-on experience with Cloud networking (VPCs, firewalls, network peering, VPNs)
- hands-on experience with Cloud IAM (predominantly GCP and AWS)
- hands-on experience with Cloud databases (Cloud SQL, Spanner, DynamoDB, Bigtable, etc.)
- hands-on experience with Golang / Python (for gluing services and deployment scripting)
- hands-on experience with Terraform / Crossplane / Config Connector (GCP) / CloudFormation (AWS) (for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure)
- hands-on experience with Git (for source control)
- hands-on experience with Github Actions / Jenkins (for CI)
- hands-on experience with Argo CD / Flux (for CD)
- hands-on experience with Vault / Conjur (for secrets management)

- Experience with any of the technologies listed beyond the essential ones
- ability to effectively empathise with and translate between stakeholders across different domains (i.e. infosec, operations, product R&D, senior leadership)
- Enjoy working in complex (and often ambiguous) problem domains
- Easily move between different levels of abstraction (high level architecture and solution design - implementation detail and configuration)
- Enjoy learning and can quickly become a subject matter expert in previously unfamiliar domains
- Inspire confidence and restore calm in otherwise tense or strained situations (i.e. managing unhappy customer stakeholders and high impact service outages)
- Approach challenges pragmatically, preferring actions that produce meaningful customer value over polish and philosophical alignment
- Are comfortable working directly with customer stakeholders at all levels (i.e. senior management - individual contributors)
- Pro-actively initiate and contribute to internal initiatives
- Act as a peer mentor to your fellow team members. incl. providing regular feedback for personal and professional development
- Lead customer engagements incl. scoping work, directing other team members, acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, running calls and workshops, and providing regular project updates
- Consistently apply (and confidently speak on) cloud security best practices
- Actively engage in team/group level strategy and goal setting activities
- Show up to calls with empathy, patience, positivity, and the desire to collaborate towards shared goals
- Helping customers determine what they actually want and need, then designing and implementing pragmatic solutions to get them there
