Job Summary
Support ALTESS commercial cloud services infrastructure by managing secure transport technologies, migrating on-premises applications to public and private clouds, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or AWS CodeDeploy. Automate routine administrative tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash while ensuring compliance with DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management. Leverage strong networking knowledge to oversee Border Gateway Protocol and IPSEC/VPN configurations across MS Azure, AWS, and private environments. Requires active DoD Secret Security Clearance, five years of IT experience, and proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IA cert)
- computing environment certification (i.e. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Computer Science or IT
- Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience
- Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol
- Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
- Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
- Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or AWS CodeDeploy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
