Job Summary
Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) leads the design, implementation, and management of complex cloud environments, including multi-cloud and hybrid setups. Provides strategic guidance and technical expertise to improve and optimize cloud operations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing advanced cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective; driving cloud strategy; building and managing cloud environments with high availability and disaster recovery; monitoring and optimizing resources for performance and cost efficiency; implementing cloud security measures (IAM, encryption, threat detection) and ensuring regulatory compliance; leading incident resolution and root-cause analysis; creating and maintaining documentation of cloud architectures, policies, and procedures, plus regular performance/security/compliance reports. Must have strong experience with AWS (networking, security, containers); Terraform/AWS CloudFormation for IaC; Bash or Python for automation; knowledge of cloud security, networking (VPCs, subnets, VPNs), autoscaling and load balancing; proficiency in English (written and spoken); and able to work in Portugal with flexible/mobile working arrangements.
